English in the children's oncohematology department of the city hospital of Poltava

Last week, a representative of the NGO Pavlichenko Brothers Foundation continued to study English with the children of the Oncohematology Department of the Poltava City Clinical Hospital.

In the previous lesson, the guys talked about their hobbies and musical tastes. To learn it was a joy, a lesson was developed on the children’s favorite English songs, they were asked to write several versions of tracks from which it was possible to select a suitable hit. A prerequisite when working with an English song was taken into account the decency of the text, the rhythm (the child must have time to speak and sing the lines) and compliance with the topic being studied. Since we are currently learning and actively replenishing the vocabulary, the choice fell on the song, which for more than a month was on the first place of the British music chart - Tones and I “Dance Monkey”. The guys translated the text with great interest, did the exercises and sang. Thus, we were able to learn and have fun.
