English in the Department of Oncohematology
New Year's mood in Poltava brought a blizzard and the roads became literally impassable from a lot of snow. In this weather, you will not get out of the house until you clear the snow. Adults - care, and children - joy! What a pleasure to be dumped in fluffy snow and build snow caves and fortresses!
Children's joy is always a little sad when you have to undergo treatment within the walls of a hospital. A little to brighten up the gray hospital days, to encourage and bring snowy breath of winter, an employee of the PA “Pavlichenko Brothers” NGO tried, visiting the children's onco-hematology department at the clinical hospital of Poltava. After all, to do a good deed, you do not need a special invitation, and the weather conditions are also not terrible, if you have the desire and willingness to sympathize with your neighbors. Grateful feedback you get from children, which is not expressed in words, but glows from the depths of the heart, illuminating the children's gaze.
In today's lesson of the English language, the girl Diana, already familiar to us, continued to study the Christmas theme. Grammar exercises alternated with colloquial speech - a small practice for training communication skills. Completed the lesson with a video about Christmas in Britain and thematic tasks consolidated the knowledge of a foreign language.
And at the end of the lesson, Diana waited for a holiday gift: a greeting card in English and a toy for the Christmas tree. Hopefully, the girl will spend the New Year holidays at home with her family, and next year her dearest wish will come true.
Give joy to others and the warmth of communication, regardless of any inclement weather! Without a doubt, you will manage to break the ice and dispel gray clouds in the soul of another person!
