Gospel for children of Sunday school in Lysychansk
On the day of the celebration of the icon of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Sunday School of the Second Mitrofanovskiy Church in the town of Lysychansk celebrated its tenth anniversary. To the pupils of the Sunday school, the rector of the church, Archpriest Nikolai (Tkach), handed mementoes - the Holy Gospel. The Pavlichenko Brothers Foundation also participated in this event and assisted in the acquisition of books.
Nowadays, an important aspect in the formation of a child’s personality is the development of spirituality in it, which has a beneficial effect on the acquisition of the meaning of life, helps to overcome internal and external disadvantage, and introduces it to Orthodox culture. This is the main mission of Sunday schools, whose activities began in the nineteenth century and have not lost their relevance now.
