"Where are you, Adam?"
The Aegean Sea, mountains, wildlife and holy prayer that ascends to heaven ... This mysterious atmosphere reigns on the holy Mount Athos, where the ancient male Orthodox monastery of Dochiar is located, where a woman's foot has not set foot for more than a thousand years.
By the grace of God, our friends, Alexander Zaporoschenko and Alexander Pliska, managed to get there, who really wanted to show the world this depth - the everyday life of Greek monks, so they took a blessing to shoot the film, which now has the name "Where are you, Adam?" The shooting lasted 6 years and now, by common efforts, the kind eyes of the abbot of the monastery, Abbot Gregory, can look at you from the screens of cinemas.
On September 17 the premiere of the film took place in Poltava. The Pavlichenko Brothers Foundation NGO presented 14 tickets to parishioners of Orthodox churches and their priests.
After Alexander Pliska's press conference, the audience held their breath and completely immersed themselves in the film.
In the film, Abbot Gregory reflects on the life of the monks, talking with the director in front of the camera. The elder confesses that he regrets many things in his life, first of all, that he has become a priest and abbot, who is responsible for the sins and falls of others. Geronda cries every day for the brothers in the monastery.
While watching the film, many people had a question: "Could I?" Could you give up everything for the Lord? Could you die while you were alive?
The film does not have an intricate storyline, since it is documentary. But despite this, each viewer finds a response in his soul, hears and sees exactly what he did not notice in himself before, changing his consciousness. This is where the uniqueness of this film lies.
