Parable of God's Providence
There is a legend according to which God always comes to each of us, at least once in our life. But we are not given to know in what guise he will come: an abandoned puppy, a small homeless kitten, a beggar or a disadvantaged person.
And the way we meet him will be reflected in our whole life.
Once upon a time there was a man. And he had three dreams: to have a good job with a high salary, to marry a beautiful kind girl and ... to become famous throughout the world.
On a cold winter morning, a young man was in a hurry for an interview with a well-known company. Suddenly, an elderly man slipped and fell right in front of him. Our hero looked at the man, and, without giving up his hand, ran on.
Fortunately, he made it to the interview on time. Unfortunately, he was not hired for his dream job.
One evening, a man was walking through the city and noticed a troupe of street performers. Someone timidly touched his shoulder. It was an old clown woman.
But the man did not want to conduct the conversation and, turning away with disgust, went home.
One rainy evening, a man was rushing home from a friend's birthday. The day turned out to be difficult and he dreamed of taking a bath as soon as possible and falling asleep in a warm soft bed.
Suddenly he heard someone's muffled sobbing. It was a woman who was crying. She was sitting on a bench near the house.
She was alone, without an umbrella, and only the hood of a light jacket saved her from the cold rain. Noticing our hero, she turned to him for help. Something happened in her family and she really wanted to talk to someone heart to heart. The man thought about it, a bath and a bed appeared before his eyes, he muttered that he was terribly busy and hurried to the entrance.
The man has lived an unhappy life. And he died. Once in heaven, a person met his Guardian Angel.
- You know, I have lived a completely miserable and worthless life. I had three dreams, but none of them came true. What a pity.
- Hmm ... My friend, I did everything to make all your dreams come true, but for this you only had to give your hand once, open your eyes and warm your heart.
Remember the man who fell on a slippery winter road?
That man was the CEO of the firm you wanted to get into. A dizzying career awaited you. All that was required of you was to lend a hand.
Remember the old clown? It was a beautiful young actress who fell in love with you at first sight.
A happy future awaited you. All that was required of you was to open your eyes.
Remember the crying woman outside your front door on a rainy evening? she was soaked through with rain and tears ... It was a famous writer. She was going through a family crisis and she really needed emotional support.
If you helped her warm up in your apartment, listened and consoled her, she would write a book in which she would tell about this incident.
The book would become famous all over the world and you along with it, since on the main page the author would indicate the name of the one who became the muse of this work.
All that was required of you then was just a small spark of your heart. You were inconsiderate, my friend.
The man sighed and walked along the moonlit path into the distance ...
Moral: Listen to the world, it offers opportunities. And for help you need not only to be able to ask, but also to be able to accept with dignity.
