Irmology for the church choir in Dikanka

In each worship, the main part is singing. And if joint church prayer is the spirit of worship, then church singing is his soul. It is singing that brings our common prayers to Heaven. And how important it is for the choir to convey the spirit of prayer, to convey the meaning of communion with God to people. How important it is to sing so that people hear not only the beauty of the melody, but also the prayer mood in the strict and invigorating rhythms of the liturgical text.

The basis of this publication was the handwritten Lavra Irmology of the last century, in which the continuity of the language of the liturgical text is preserved, as well as the style and manner of Kiev-Pechersky singing.

We sincerely hope that the Irmology chants will be useful for expanding the singing repertoire of the church choir and that each of the choristers will be imbued with the prayer depth of Kiev-Pechersky  sing.
