The teacher told the class the story of the ship that crashed.

“... There was a couple on the ship who managed to get to the lifeboat, but unfortunately there was only one place. Suddenly, the husband pushed his wife away and climbed into the boat himself. And his wife, before his death, shouted to him the last phrase.

Here the teacher stopped. “What do you think,” she asked. “What was that phrase?”

Most students immediately said: “I hate you!” Or “How blind I was!”

Then the teacher drew attention to the boy, who sat all this time and was silent.

“What do you think she said?”

“I think she said:“ Take care of our baby! ”

The teacher was surprised: “Do you know this story?”

“No, just the same thing my mom said before dying to my father,” the boy shrugged.

The teacher hoped that no one noticed how her eyes were moistened. "Right".

So the ship went to the bottom. The man got home and raised his daughter alone. After many years, already, when her father was gone, examining his things, the girl found his diary, in which she read the following:

“She already had a terrible diagnosis when we went on a trip. Life was not long. God, I wish I could drown in her place, but for the good of my daughter, I could not. I could only leave her in the middle of the ocean. ”

The story is over. The class was silent.

The teacher saw in her childish eyes that they were deeply moved by the story and that for the first time today they understood that it’s not always good that is under the guise of good, and that betrayal does not necessarily live under the guise of an improper, evil act.

That's why you should never judge people superficially. We may not know much about them.
