Pies for God
Lyudochka skipped up the steps. Saturday! There is no need to go to school, lessons can be done tomorrow. Mom also gave money for ice cream. So the day promised to be wonderful.
He was like that. Until Lyudochka met Tonya. Tonya sported a new blouse. Exactly in the one that Lyudochka dreamed of. With a shiny clasp and a beautiful barbie on the chest. The girl almost burst into tears from resentment. She has already persuaded her mother to buy. Mom said that you need to wait a bit: in a week, Dad has a salary and they will go to the nearest department store and buy it. And here is Tonya right in front of her. In her blouse. What if she bought the last one? What if there are no more of those left in the store?
It was very insulting, sad, and some other incomprehensible feeling crept up to the child's heart. Lyuda for some reason felt ashamed of this feeling. She said nothing to Tonya. Pretended like nothing was happening. And herself, while they were going to the ice cream store, I thought only about how as soon as possible to give my father a salary.
Having run home, Lyudochka looked at her mother, who calmly cooked soup and sang something. Luda thought for a couple of minutes whether to tell her mother about what had happened, but decided that it was not worth it.
The girl could not fall asleep. Everything was spinning and thinking about my misfortune. And finally, I thought of it. We must ask God. Lyuda went to Sunday school. Not for long. One year. Parents sent her there because there were English lessons. Lyudochka did not like English, she remembered vaguely the rest of the objects - she seemed to be drawing something, sculpting something - but she remembered about God! They had a teacher. Kind-kind. I never scolded and knew a lot of interesting stories. Everything somehow flew out of my head. I didn't remember anything at all.
Besides that there is God and that He loves everyone very much and is always ready to help. Little Lady loved God. She did not know how to pray (either she was not taught at Sunday school, or she was taught, but she did not remember), but every time, going to bed, she really wanted to say something to Him, and she came up with something. In the evening she said: "Good night, God!" - and in the morning: "Good morning, God!" She lived like that. And now the need arose
ask. Lyudochka decided that since God hears everything, sees and knows, then there is no point in being wise. And she whispered: “God, give me a blouse like Tony's. Well, you yourself know which one. With a lock and with a Barbie. " She whispered and instantly fell asleep. The problems of the bygone day no longer disturbed the children's peace.
And at the appointed time, they bought the girl a jacket. Flushed with pleasure, she spun in front of the mirror, saying to herself: “What a beauty! Thank you, God, very much! "
In the evening, going to bed, Lyudochka thought about a new problem. God gave her a jacket. What is she? How will he thank Him? It's easy with parents: you can please them with a good mark, a clean apartment ... but you never know what! And how to please God? She did not know the answer to this question. But I knew for sure that I had to do something on my own. But what? And Lyudochka remembered! Well, of course! Even yesterday, my mother praised her, she baked pies with cabbage on her own! Mom just put them in the oven. Well, it helped to knead the dough. And so Lyudochka did everything herself! Resolved! She will give God a pie.
In the morning, Luda, getting ready for school, grabbed the remaining three pies and ran merrily into the street. Mom was surprised that her daughter decided to eat the pies the day before yesterday, but Lyudochka decided not to let her mother know about her secrets. She won't understand. Neither she nor dad knows anything about God. Probably, they just weren't taken to Sunday school ...
The school was just in the next yard from the temple. Lyudochka was almost there. She took out the pies. Carefully wrapped them in a napkin and thought. How can you convey them to God? She came to the temple mechanically. For some reason, it was here that the legs were carried. If you need to go to God, then, of course, to the temple. But how to give? And then Luda saw a beggar. She sat on the curb crumbling bread to pigeons. The girl came closer. She knew that beggars are people who do not have a home and who are always hungry. And Luda has pies in her hands ... I wonder if God will not be offended if you give His pies to a hungry aunt? “Probably not,” Luda thought.
But just in case, she said to herself: "God, forgive me, I will give Your pies to this aunt, and when I grow up and learn to do a lot, I will definitely do something good for You!"
